Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

Hi everyone!

Thank you for posting- I learned so much about what to expect and how to prepare for a visit. However i have one more question. My husband just arrrived at graterford from the county. Can he order commisary when on quarantine? Also much do they need about initially? I'm not sure how tshirts socks etc work there- in philly we can order them from a site for them-is it possible there or does he have to do it himself?. Also if he is allowed to order food what day do they take the money out of their account there?

Just trying to prep and get into the swing of things...any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If I can remember when my loved on was in Graterford he couldn't purchase anything while in quarantine. In the beginning it is expensive. See there they can buy phone cards too which I found out to be cheaper. But anyway I put almost three hundred on his account in the beginning. Now he didn't get his television until ge got to his home prison. So I want to say maybe 150-200.00 . Now keep in mind that is what I think. What you do is totally up to you.

That was about what I was expecting it would be to get situated. does anyone have an idea how much the TV runs-just so I can get an idea ahead of time?

When my husband got his tv it was like 249 plus remote and headphones I sent him like 300 total and cable is like 15 a month.

Side note if you are sending the money via jpay you can only send 300 every 10 days.

If he can ask him to send you a copy of the commissary list I know some of the prices have gone up.
