It's the same....you have to be an approved visitor in order to get calls.

Not quite.. You can be on more than one inmates telephone list.. the new policy has where you can now be approved for phone calls only without being on their visit list..

REALLY?!?!! OMG this is fabulous. My old roommate and one of my dear friends was sentenced to 2.5 years in Perryville for a DUI! Paul is coming home this year, but I would love to be able to talk to my girlfriend. I knew I would NOT be able to see her, until Paul was home...but to talk to her would be fabulous!!!

Where is this stated, in the policies!?!?!?

The following is an excerpt from the Arizona Department of Corrections Policy 915 Inmate Phone Calls. Unless you are related to another inmate (your husband and your brother are both incarcarated) you can only be on one inmate's Visitation List. This means you can only receive phone calls from one inmate unless you are directly related to another inmate.

915.02 PERSONAL CALLS
1.1 The only individuals authorized as recipients of inmate phone calls shall be the approved individuals on the Visitation List, Form 911-1.
    1. 1.1.1 Telephone calls are limited to the same individuals (maximum of twenty) approved for visitation.
    1. 1.1.2 Only one list per inmate is permitted.
    1. 1.1.3 When the list has been processed, it shall be maintained in the inmate's visitation file.
    1. 1.1.4 Criminal history and warrant checks shall be performed consistent with Department Order #911, Inmate Visitation.
    1. 1.1.5 For further information about the completion, processing and duration of the Visitation List, the forms used, and the completion of criminal history and warrant checks, refer to Department Order #911, Inmate Visitation.

Does this apply if you are related by marriage. My husband is Yuma, but his brother is in Buckeye and I would like to be able to talk/visit with his brother as well. Any info is great. Thanks!
