Im so sad i found out today they are sending my husband to mississipi next week tuesday

Is there anything that can be done so he wont get transfered??

Our guys are being put on lockdown. As I was on the phone my husband had to cut it short because the COs started to lock it down.

They were also put on Lockdown about 12.

Compound 3 had a riot. Idk the details

I swear things are getting worse I'm supposed to go see my husband on sunday for the last time before they transfer him out to mississippi and now it seems like I'm not gonna be able too. Im having such a bad day today.

I'd appreciate any info I can get about the riot.

CCA likes to call them "incidents." two weeks ago 300 prisoners rioted in Adams County/Natchez Mississippi. A guard got killed. CCA blamed it on gangs, not bad food, physical abuse, etc.

Tallahatchie has had riots involving California, Colorado and Hawai'i prisoners, I don't know how many more.

i did hear about the on in MS too. i try to read up on all CA's out-of-state facilities.

I'm new to this, La Palma, specifically, but you ladies have been SO helpful, so I finally signed up today to help give some information back.

I spoke with my fiancé today (he's white) and from what he said, it turns out the piasas did "removal" yesterday, and at the same time, a white guy attacked a cop... As far as I know, they are not on lockdown, but the whites and piasas are still on modified program. As I mentioned, I spoke with him this morning, so I hope everyone else is able to talk to their loved ones, soon, too!

Im heading out to la palma tomorrow in the morning to say bye to my hubby before he is transferred out to Mississippi. Im happy and excited to see him but sad at the same time cause i dont know how long it will be till I see him again.

Ok i cant post in the phone thread so im posting here...I have a company called just talk communications to get my calls in cali so i added it to lp & my 30 min calls r gunna b $3.05 not the insane $8 with gtl!...

i was just talking to my husband about phones yesterday. we found out, if he uses phone time off his books it will only cost a flat 3 a call for 30 min with a local number. i'm just going to start adding money to his books so he can add the phone time. i rather pay the $10 fee for western then pay processing fee each time i add money. plus it saves the lil change off my end.

I got JustTalk and put $20 on it. Sent him the number and I still had to use GTL and put $25 on the account. Then the JT number stopped working after the first call and he had to use my cellphone number which forced me to set up abother account, so three phone calls costed my $70. Can I get a refund from JT?

Just talk is cheaper but you gotta make sure the funds are there. If you dont use the same card you used to set up your account, then you have to fill out a form and send it back. I jyst go to an ACE check cashing place & replenish my account there. Its quik and it loads right away. My GTL calls frm AZ to CA are 11.78 each!! $25 added is only for 2 calls. We use them for emergency calls only. The just talk calls are $3.25 for us & when there is an issue on their part, they will refund ur accnt. Hope that helps.
