September wedding in GA

Hello all..i am the fiancée of a GA inmate and need help locating a minister to perform our ceremony in Pelham, GA at Autry State prison..i already know of the procedures and we're hoping to have it done the last week in September. Our anniversary is 09/11..any assistancewill be greatly appreciated...thx in advance!! JC & Nita 09/11/12 "No Ordinary Love"....

aawww congrats.. yeah i wasnt sure if the prison my hubbyy was going to had prison weddings.. so we just got married 2 days before his sentencing.. trust me.. it feels great! i love him so much

Thx for the support..it hasn't been easy but we've made it this far on faith n luv..i wish i was able to marry him then but we were n two different places and came into this luv back in 2003 and have been going strong ever since.

Sorry if this seems a bit strange but I'm a TV producer and I'm researching a TV series about couples who decide to marry while one of them is in prison. Would you mind if I asked you a couple of questions? I know this is very out of the blue but as I will be looking for couples who would be willing to let us film their wedding would you mind if I asked - is this something you might consider? Of course if you'd rather keep the ceremony private then please just ignore this request! If its something you'd be willing to discuss with me though I'd love to hear back from you. Either way - very many congratulations again xx

Sure I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you have. Unfortunately i don't think the facility will allow those types of cameras inside..if u would like a personal interview in the future i can possibly arrange for that to happen.

Hey I'm in the same boat as you...my fiance's at Ware State, in Waycross, GA. I have yet to find an officiant, however my fiance thinks we'd be able to use the judge....not so sure if that's true. I know they perform ceremonies at the courthouse, but I don't think they'd do it at the prison.

How far are yal in the process? We've already obtained the license, but are waiting on approval for a wedding date. I was hoping for the week of July 4th (his b-day), but that's just around the corner and no news . I hate waiting.

Hopefully you too will have better luck...congrats!

hello sorry to respond so late..actually we just started. i have to get the app from the courthouse and get it to him to fill out i can get it notarized..the chaplain there told me that all we needed to do was get the paperwork to him we're hoping to have it done the end of september but i wanted to have out anniversary on the certificate and license. i cant wait to finally have his name for life... it has been a long journey for us.

i think waiting is the hard part in all this. we're waiting to hear about his court case and whether or not he will be home sooner than we think then there is the waiting to get the marriage done. i have only a short time and it seems like there arent enough hours in the day... do keep in touch with me on the status of everything..if u want you can email me at jsgyrl01@gmail.com my name is nita...best of luck to you guys!!!

Hello all!! I wanted to post my updates to this thread...i actually found someone to officiate for us!!! I'm really excited and can't wait until i hear back from my baby to tell me the chaplain has all the info to proceed..thanks to u all for your support and well wishes...
