Default Please cheer up Joey

I got a letter from Joey today, and nothing goes right !! He's still in confinement, and his transfer is still denied. I started a thread in the Florida forum to ask advice about starting a petition. Now I would ask you to cheer him up with a nice post !!! He's so depressed, he needs to know that not only me, but a lot of people care for him on the outside. I will print them out and send to him on friday.

Thanks in advance for your support and kind words !!
All the best
Phil

Dearest Joey

May God Bless and Keep you... I know that right now you feel the world is against you. but turn all your load that you carry over to God. I have found that he will really give you some peace. Being in Segregation is not fun.... My Son, Butch, has been there too and I know the pain he suffers when he has to do that. He now is under medical restrictions with a major problem with his back. They will not give him a job because of them.. He is about to go stir crazy. So, I do know how you are feeling right now....

Just remember your Family and your precious Father and how much he loves you..... Don't let them get the best of you... That is exactly what they want to do.... Keep your faith strong and God will carry your burdens....

My sincere and honest caring is with you... I will be praying hard for you Joey.

My Best Wishes and Love

Donna

Hey Joey,

I've done my share of time in the hole, so I know what your going through. They will try everything they can to break you, stay strong, & realize you have a lot of people out here you love, & care for you & are pulling for you. Your not alone in this, as the book says we are all doing time. WE all do time differently so I hope you have a good program that works for you, I know it sure helped me in dealing with the numbing boredom. Keep your head up, as things can only get better. -------------Ken

When doing time on the 'inside', people sometimes forget that there are people on the 'outside' that really do genuinely care!
Joey, stay strong and know that better days will come! Sometimes when so many things tend to go wrong, or you can't get a break... the road ahead seems impossible. Always remember that this is not true! You will get through these hard times... you have much support- as always from your 'frenchy' , and you have PTO on your side!
Hang in there!!

Yeah Joe, hope things pick up for you soon...more for our sake than yours. We're getting pretty tired of hearing this Frenchy Whine...and believe me, that's alot different than French Wine.

Be thinking of you, I know it's rough...somedays you wonder how you can make another day. But then you wake up to the SOS and guess what? You made it, it's a new day. Take it a day at a time, and try and keep in mind when you get low that you got a bundle of people pulling for you.
all the best.

Joey, I had just finished checking my emails when I logged on to PTO and saw this thread. I wanted to share these with you.

Subject: bad day

There was a case in one hospital's Intensive Care ward where patients always died in the same bed, on Sunday morning, at about 11 a.m., regardless of their medical condition. This puzzled the doctors and some even thought that it may have something to do with the supernatural. No one could solve the mystery as to why the deaths occurred around 11AM on Sundays.

A worldwide team of experts was assembled to investigate the cause of the incidents. The next Sunday morning, a few minutes before 11 a.m., all the doctors and nurses nervously waited outside the ward to see for themselves what the terrible phenomenon was all about. Some even held crosses, prayer books and other holy objects to ward off the evil spirits. Just when the clock struck 11... Pookie Johnson, the part-time Sunday sweeper, entered the ward and unplugged the life support system so that he could run the vacuum cleaner.

Having a Bad Day?

The average cost of rehabilitating a seal after the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska was $80,000. At a special ceremony, two of the most expensively saved animals were being released back into the wild amid cheers and applause from onlookers. A minute later, in full view, a killer whale ate them both.

Still think you are having a bad day?

A woman came home to find her husband in the kitchen shaking frantically, almost in a dancing frenzy, with some kind of wire running from his waist towards the electric kettle. Intending to jolt him away from the deadly current, she whacked him with a handy plank of wood, breaking his arm in two places. Up to that moment, he had been happily listening to his Walkman.

STILL think you're having a bad day?

Two animal rights protesters were protesting at the cruelty of sending pigs to a slaughterhouse in Bonn, Germany. Suddenly, all two thousand pigs broke loose and escaped through a broken fence, stampeding madly. The two hopeless protesters were trampled to death.

What? STILL having a bad day?

Iraqi terrorist Khay Rahnajet didn't pay enough postage on a letter bomb. It came back with "return to sender" stamped on it. Forgetting it was the bomb, he opened it and was blown to bits.

There now, feeling better?

dear Joey....I live in Belgium...the next best country to France. I think I live the closest to Phil on this board, and I can see him getting on his Eifeltower every day to see, if by chance, America has not been blown over the ocean so close to France overnight ,that he can just walk over to you and be with you every chance he has. He wants to be with you so bad he would swimm the ocean himself. Joey I hope you can be very very strong a bit longer. you are not alone okay...we are from everywhere, truly everywhere...and I know you even from this little country Belgium...We all know you and I know you are one funny man...so hang in there and be strong...you can do this...you have been doing it so long and I admire that strenght in you so much....don't give up and when you go to sleep tonight you must close your eyes and think about all these people from around the whole world that know you and love you and Phil....in thought we are with you Joey...we are there with you! and when you wake up in the morning, then think about Phil climbing that Eifeltower again...I think that is what keeps him so goodlooking (I was going to write sexy but hé...my boyfriend would not want me to write this) so Joey, I hope you will soon write something on this board...I would love to hear more from you!

Joey - I just wanted to write a few lines to tell you that you are thought of and thought the world of. That dang French guy talks of you constantly! I feel like I know you already! So, I'm sending you - my friend - a hug and "happy thoughts" from Mississippi.

Joey.... When it rains it pours.... and DOC is all about pissing on your parade!!
I, too, know the pain (only second-hand) of that whole "segregation" thing... my JD has been in seg for over a year now!! We, out here, wish there was more we could do to make it easier..... but really just keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.. and trying to give you as much love and encouragement and entertainment as possible is all we CAN do..... know you are cared about... not just by your Frenchie... but by so many who have come to know you through him and who consider you part of the PTO family....
Keep that head up!! Refuse to let your mind dwell in the same prison they keep your body in!! (((hugs)))

Joey,

Hello from COLD Canada! Man it is cold here lately! -20 -30 -40 it does not really matter anything under zero is just cold!

Hang in there and remember that we cannot control a lot of the things that happen to us but we do have control over our attitude and how we react and/or deal with any situation. Keep a positive attitude and you will always win. (I know this is easy to say but believe me it works!)

Know one thing... You have someone on the outside that loves and cares for you sooooooo much! You know who I am talking about... You are a lucky man! Very lucky! When things seem to be at there worst - just think of this guy, and I am sure your day will be brighter!

Keep strong and we are thinking about you!

Joey I am sorry you are having a rough time. When I am having a bad day I look at this...it's hung in my bathroom, because I KNOW it's the one place I go every day LOL. You have probably read this..if you have it's just another reminder

Desiderata

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble, it's a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantement, it is as perrenial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
