Talking A Poem For My Honey
I wrote this while in class one day, and my classmate talked me into reading it at the poetry slam we had 2 weeks ago.. It sounds better when you hear it performed then on paper or on screen.. lol.. I sent it to my honey for Valentine's Day!!

I Love You

NO, I don’t love you

I LOVE YOU

It’s not like the love

I have for mom

Or even the love I have for Boo

It’s not the kind of love

I have for my friends

Not even the love

I have for my Best Friend, Annie

The love I have for you
Is as wide as the Pacific Ocean
And runs further than the Columbia
It feels like the sun

On a cold day

And the raindrops

In the humidity

I Love You

NO, I don’t love you

I LOVE YOU

It tastes like cold vanilla ice cream

On hot apple pie

And smells like pine

From our Christmas tree

That was decorated with that same love

The kind of love

I hold for you

Is no better than any

Other love I hold

It’s not more love

It’s not better love

It’s not cherished love

It’s just different love

It’s the love

For my King love

It’s the love

Of my life love

It’s the love for you

MY HUSBAND LOVE!

Having the privalege of knowing you personally...I must say that I "get it", and as I read it to myself, I heard YOUR voice speak it, and it was beautiful...A+ girl....lol, you deserve it!
