Default It's official - I'm a grown-up with a mortgage!

GULP!

That's right, I signed on the dotted line (actually, about 500 dotted lines!) and am now among the ranks of responsible adults! But Jack and I are soooo happy! We finally have our little plot of land and a wonderful home that we can call our own. The house was built in 1935 and has lots and lots of character and we live in one of the best and oldest parts of the city. PLUS... this house is a duplex, so the rent I take in pays all but $250 of the mortgage!

OMG! I LOOOVVVE your house! There actually about three Tudor houses in Las Vegas, but everything in the "old" part of the city (prior to about 1960) has been zoned commercial and converted to offices! I love older homes- you are so right about the character! I have an early 60's Cape Cod style which is considered quite vintage around here, but cedar shake roofs were not intended for the desert! 99% of new homes are stucco with Spanish tile roofs in all the same muted colors. Practical, but so cookie cutter! I would move there and snap one up if you would only do away with winter! Congratulations on your purchase and many years of happiness there!
