ARTICLE: Prosecutors to seek death penalty in 3-year-old's death in Mesa

PHOENIX Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas says his office will seek the death penalty in the killing of three-year-old Angeline Plummer of Mesa.

The suspect, 30-year-old Christopher Joseph Langin, is a friend of Angeline's father and lived in a trailer behind the family's home in far east Mesa.

He apparently had been babysitting Angeline when paramedics were called on February eighth because Angeline had quit breathing.

Langin is jailed without bond. He was indicted on first-degree murder, child abuse and aggravated assault charges in Angeline's death.
