What Else Could Possibly Go Wrong?

I just found out I wasn't accepted to the school that they pretty much told me I was accepted to ~ meaning I can't transfer. I hate it here and literally can't stand another year of it. That means all of my plans = gone down the drain. It is a mess- I've worked it out with my parents and everything- they were even going to get me an apartment back home where I wanted to go to school. Literally, I have no where to go, and I have no desire to take a semester off.

Alex's car is getting towed right now- something's wrong with it. I just found out if he doesn't pay a speeding ticket by tomorrow he'll go to jail again.

His mom is still deciding whether to keep in or not- he's not found a job yet (but says he is trying).

I have 3 finals tomorrow.

PLEASE, someone tell me how to calm down.
Right now I'm kind of scary calm after a bunch of tears- but I know a freak out is coming soon.
I need to study, but my mind keeps wondering....
I wonder if there's any point in doing well on these finals
I am so sad....

OH no!!! OK--your dad works there, right? What the reason for them not accepting you? Is it too late to apply elsewhere?

As for Alex--I know you love him but right now hes gotta take care of him. You have more than enough on your plate. You have done all you can. Its up to him what happens next. A ticket? Is it for the wreck he had?

They said it was too late, but to try next year...My dad works there- I'm gonna see if he can do anything about it. I doubt it though- they said they're already too full. It is pretty much too late to go anywhere. I haven't applied anywhere else, because I was led to believe I would surely get in.

A speeding ticket- he completely "forgot" about it....

I will pray...
I'm so losing it.

I know you love Alex and you would do ANYTHING just to help him out...but you gotta take care of YOU!! How can you been strong for him if your falling apart?!?! Caate - Even though it feels like it, this isn't the end of the world. Just feel "like the river flowing around a rock". The river bends and passes, and little by little, wears away the rock to a pebble, and then a grain of sand. If you relax, and flow with the absolutely inevitable, you will wear down your troubles, instead of them wearing you to a nub.

when I am really feeling down in the dumps I look at the smaller things in life. it seems that we don't appreciate what we DO have enough in life that's when the bad luck strikes!

Cate ~ I am so sorry things just aren't going well for you right now. But you do need to take care of you first. You will get through all of this. I know "easier said than done" but it will all pass. Just hang on. You are a strong girl and I know you can get through this.

Glad to hear the speeding ticket was paid. Also on the job situation I know nobody wants to work at McDonalds but sometimes we have to do what we have to do...so has he tried there yet? Or any place like that? Maybe try to encourage him to call all these places he put in applications at and bug them. Sometimes that works too. Also it is summer and maybe he can try landscaping companies or tree care companies. They are always looking for work this time of year. It may be seasonal but at least it gets his foot in the door.

Just some options to think about. I hope you feel better.
