Default Involuntary manslaughter for pit bull attack

http://www.wjla.com/news/stories/1205/288099.html
Spotsylvania (AP) - A jury on Thursday found a Partlow woman guilty of involuntary manslaughter for allowing her pit bulls to run loose and kill an 82-year-old woman.
Deanna Large, 37, sat quietly in the courtroom. Members of victim Dorothy Sullivan's family wept after the verdict was read.
The case marks the first time in Virginia a person has been convicted of manslaughter for the actions of his or her dog. Large also was found guilty of two misdemeanor charges of allowing her dogs to run loose.
Before jurors began deliberating Large's sentence, Commonwealth's Attorney William Neely argued it was important to set a precedent establishing significant jail time in such cases.

This could be a very important and precedent setting case for people all over the country. As far as I know Large is the first person in the U.S. to be found guilty of manslaughter do to her having pit bulls.
