Default Newbie has a Q?

Hi,
I'm from the South Shore. Hubby just got sentenced to 2.5 years + 4 years probation. He's serving his time at PCCF. These forums have been helpful with all the links and threads. I have been doing alot of "research" on these forums and online. I havent been able to find an answer for this though- How much time does he need to serve before he can be eligible for parole? I heard he has to serve 15months of the 2.5. He thinks he only has to serve 1/3- 10months. Anyone might have a clue?

Thanks

Hello nemicmac. My hubby is currently at PCCF also. He is only doing a 6 month bid though. I know that he only has to do 50% of that time and since he has been in for over 3 months, he is already eligible for parole. I heard that under a certain sentence only has to do 50% of the time, but over that they have to do 85%. But I am not sure what that number is specifically. I thought I heard 2.5 years, but am not sure. I can ask my hubby if he knows. He can find out a lot of information. I am sorry that I cannot help you with this right now. But I want to welcome you to this forum.

Kate
