Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

I guess I just need to vent-

My hubby just saw his counselor. He has 24 points, is level 2, doesn't get into a pc yard and may be transferred to San Quentin or Soledad within 3 weeks!

Our first wedding anniversary is next Saturday and my birthday is shortly thereafter. I will visit him on our anniversary, but I am really having a harder time with this than I imagined. He is facing 12 years (not including the 85% time), and our daughter (my first, his 6th) was born 8 days after his wrongful conviction... I knew he would be transferred, but it is just more upsetting that I thought it would be. But so far away??? And I've heard that SQ is rough, but the other place, Soledad, doesn't have a PC yard...

He submitted a 602 appeal, but it won't even start until after he is transferred... so who knows if it would even go anywhere after then? I feel helpless!

He also sent me the form to submit to his court-appointed appellate attn'y - asking what the grounds for appeal are. I am concerned because I don't want to put the wrong thing and ruin his chances! No pressure, though!

I am just very upset and depressed and disheartened. No one knows what to say to me, my friends just look at me and sigh - what can they say?!?

I guess all the stress of the situtation is finally hitting me (5 months later)...

Thanks, I just need to vent to people who can kind of understand...
