Default 36 weeks(pregnant) and about to burst!

Okay I'm really starting to hurt, getting the back pain, the feet the legs and everything in between. I am truely sick of this waiting for the baby, he is starting to take a toll on me, physically! I have come to grips that daddy won't be there, and have a great family& friend support group, not to mention the great PTO family!
Anyway, Im just venting but writing to ask the ladies any ideas on ways to make these last few weeks comfortable. My mom suggested a cool bath any one else have any ideas, I'm up for amything!?

A bath would be good, because the water will take some of the weight off your back and legs. Just make sure you can get yourself out again!!

Put a really funny DVD in the machine and treat yourself to a couple of hours of laughing until you need to pee - which at 36 weeks is about every 10 minutes!! Anyway, distract yourself for a while, even if you put on a weepie - Ghost, Titanic or something.

Alternatively fill a bowl with some fresh mint leaves, salt and cool water and soak your poor, tired feet in there for a while.

Hun, you have a couple of weeks left of having time to yourself, make the most of it by pampering yourself if you can. If you can afford it, pop down to the beauty salon and have a pedicure. The foot massage will make you feel so much better.

Hope you get some inspiration from these couple of ideas!
Hugs to you,
Rach x

when I was 34 weeks....I did a "day of beauty" I went to the salon, got a pedicure (watch out with the lavender and massaging of the feet -- it can put you in labor -- unless you want that) I had a manicure, and had them wash my hair and put it in rollers the whole nine, it felt so good to have someone pamper me, and believe me -- you'll look back on it like why cant I have this done now....especially after the baby because now Im like "I cant do my hair or anything for myself cuz the baby needs so much attention!!"

Also I would walk to the bookstore and sit and have a hot chocolate and read the baby books and name books for hours to pass the time.

Pedicure is the best right now, try to get a man at the salon to do the pedicure. They seem to have more strength when it comes to rubbing your feet and legs. I'm not joking! That way when you go into labor your toes will look pretty up in the stirrups. I made sure i got regular pedicures when i was pregnant. Good Luck, you can do this. I've been there pregnant and my honey was incarcerated. You will be fine. God Bless

Things I did were watch my salt intake. As for the pain in your back, try to alleve that with lying on your side-mainly on the right cause the pressure on your left cuts off blood flow and can cause distress to the baby. Put a pillow(s) under your tummy til you get the feeling like the weight is lifted. On the bath thing, you have to be careful cause certain things, even herbal can cause labor, contractions so forth. They say don't bathe in hot hot water after like 30 weeks. and also to eliminate baths if you are close to your due date and/or are dialating.
It is soooo great that you have a supporting family to help you out.
Congrats on your soon to be mommyhood!

SLEEP!! My sons father was arrested the month before i was due. It was hard to dealing with the fact that he wouldnt be there. Once I finally got it in my head all I did was sleep. The only time i wasnt sleep was doctors visits and during our phone calls. So my only advice is rest up. You're gonna wish you had once the baby comes.

I am also 33 weeks pregnant with my first baby and my fiance is not gonna be able to make it to the delivery due to being incarcerated... as far as finding comfort... the most comfortable thing for me right now is laying down surrpunded by pillows and reading books. also, i dont know what u r planning on doing when delivering, but i am having my mother video record my daughter's birth that way when her daddy gets out he will be able to watch it!! so even though he wont be there in person... he'll still get to see everything that happened... maybe you can do something like that... i know my fiance is very happy that im doing that for him... just a thought...

Well I would make sure to get enough rest as much as you can! And check with your doctor if you can use estom salt and enjoy the time you have cause when the baby does come you will be wishing you did. Not to sound like i don't love my lil man it's just sometimes I just want to sleep a little past 6:30 am! But Congrats oh and one more thing my guy was locked up too and I taught that he wouldn't be their and we were going to pay to have him their but he got out a few weeks before our son was born and spent three months with him and got in trouble and went back and this time got sent to prison.
