Smile All about our beloved animal friends!

Alright, this thread is for all of the pet lovers out there! Me, me me!
Smiles. Tell all us all about your pet/pets! I'll start!

I named my feline companion "Trouble" because of his tendency to get into mischief! He was just incorrigibleas a kitten! My mom gave him to me as a house warming gift, when I moved into my very first apartment, when I was 21(I believe!). Has it been THAT long?? Wow, time flies, doesn't it? I'm 25 now!

Anyway, she was worried that I might get lonesome living all by myself, and she thought I could use a friend! I picked him out of an add in the paper! When I phoned up, I asked the gentleman who answered the phone, whether or not he happened to have an ALL black cat. For some reason, I had ALWAYS longed for one, but my parents wouldn't allow it, because they are superstitious! Quite silly if you ask ME!

He said that he did, and I asked him to hold him for me! When we went to pick him up, there were several kittens in a multitude of colors to choose from, but despite my mom's efforts to persuade me otherwise, I INSISTED that HE was the one!

I used to have to lock him up in my bedroom whenever I went out for long periods of time(he's settled down quite a bit in his old age!) I felt bad, but it was either that, or come home to a flood or worse, a pile of rubble! He learned how to turn on the burners on the stove and the faucets! Once, I was engaged in a coversation on the phone, when during a brief lull, I heard what sounded like running water! I excused myself for a moment, and discovered that the bath tub was just about filled to overflowing, and there was "Trouble" perched on the edge of the sink, a gleam in his big green eyes, admiring his "handy work". I was NOT impressed! Something was blocking the drain! God, if just a few seconds more had passed, the aparment below me would have been flooded! What an absolute disaster that would have been!

My mom blames ME for his behavior, insisting that if I were a better disciplinarian, he would be more well-behaved and refined. But he is just so darn cute, that I simply can't stay mad at him for long!

"Trouble" has free reign of the house, and some would say that he is spoiled rotten! He ONLY drinks bottled water, and he insists on sleeping right next to me, in my warm, cozy Queen sized bed! I love falling asleep to the sound of his contented purring in my ear, and I love the softness of his thick, jet black coat! He is my best friend in the whole wide world, and I would give up EVERY posession I own if need be, if he were to get sick, and needed expensive medical treatment! Life just wouldn't be the same without "Trouble".

For Christmas, one of the gifts my mom got me was a sterling silver, double sided, heart shaped key chain, with his photo in it, and I carry it EVERYWHERE I go! Steven is so sweet! He knows how much I love "Trouble" and NEVER fails to ask how he is doing, in almost EVERY letter, and he patiently listens to all of my stories about "Trouble's" little adventures! Isn't he sweet? Smiles. Steven is a BIG animal lover himself. He used to work at an animal hospital, and he's always had pets! When he gets out, and we move in together, we are gonna have ourselves a little zoo!

Alright, your turn ladies! Let's here all about your beloved animal friends! Oh, I was wondering. Am I the only one who misses their pet BIG TIME, when they go away? When I went down South, to visit with Steven, I got awfully home sick, and I just missed "Trouble" terribly! My mom said he cried EVERY DAY that I was gone!
