JACKSON, Ga. (AP) -- A man convicted of killing his wife and two stepdaughters 20 years ago in Milledgeville was executed on Tuesday night.

John Hightower was given a lethal injection at the state prison in Jackson, about 45 miles south of Atlanta. He was pronounced dead at 7:59 p.m.
