Smile Back to school supply sales already?

I just noticed the other day that the stores are setting up displays for back to school sales & in the sunday paper there were ads for school supplies.

Kiddo just got out of school barely 2 weeks ago.

Most kids arent ready to go back yet, let alone think about school.

I know it is nuts. that is the last thing they want to think about right now. Mine just got out June 14th. And they dont go back until Sept 7th. But they that won't stop me from buying things and keeping them for later.

Here in Ga they are having those sales also. Most of our kids got out at the end of May and go back the first or second week of August.

Yeah my son got out at the end of May and goes back last week in August. So it would be about the time to have all that stuff out.

All I know is I bought my nephew some great stuff at Wal-Mart for Back-to-School on August 21st. The crayons were like 20 cents...how cool is that?

What trumps the sales is that my 3 jr high age kids already got a supply list in the mail from the school a week after school ended for the new school year. I don't remember needing all this crap when I was in school!

Smile

We got our list on the last day of school with the report cards.

I dont remember having lists, just our parents common sense & knowledge of what we would need.

Though thankfully there are organizations & schools out there that are willing to help those who are unable to obtain all needed/required supplies.

The kids don't need all those supplies. Everyone gets the same lists and alot of it goes to the teachers closet...Red pens, tissues, hand sanitizer glue pencils folders stuff like that

My daughter had her last day on June 21st...she goes back September 7th.

I've been shopping clearance racks thought and she already has 3 pairs of pants, a skirt, and 6 shirts for school. A pair of dress shoes we bought almost 2 years ago and will finally fit her! And today I got her a Hannah Montana t-shirt and a new pair of shoes (both on sale) for her birthday in August that will be for school. I found Hanes Her Way panties at the Dollar Store and I bought her socks already. We're doing well. Just a few more clothes and then a new pair of kicks and a backpack and we're done until the school sends us the supplies list!

You are definately ahead of the game! I don't even want to think about school clothes yet! My daughter's grandma just went out and bought her a ton of clothes for their vacation down to Atlanta and Memphis to see family so alot of that she can start school with but 2 teenage boys...the shoes alone break me!
