Default State makes room for 1,300 returning inmates

Alabama's 1,300 inmates in Louisiana private prisons are coming home, and about 300 of the 400 women will be housed in what will be transformed into a women's prison in Montgomery.

Hi Blue... I appreciate these articles you post. I am happy for the families that have loved ones in LA. How is your husband? Any news of an early hearing? You are in my prayers.

I'm so glad to hear this good news. These people have been gone way to long and I know what a hardship it has caused the families, mine was in Mississippi at one time. I can only hope and pray that he will be moved to Limestone to the pre-release center. Does anyone know the criteria for it?
He was set off 3 years in 2/21/07.

Hello Lace, Good to hear from you. Are you OK? I do not know the selection criteria for transferring to another facility. I would guess he would need to start with his classification officer. I hope it works out for you.

Hey there I'm doing good still hanging in there and looking for the light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully all this shifting around will some how get my son closer or at least cut him a break somehow. I'm so happy for you and have been reading all the good news, it gives the rest of us hope and gets us through these long days. I'm basically fostering 2 babies right now with no help from anyone trying to keep my job so it works with school schedules and summer activities and I'm bumping 50 so life is hectic but it gives me something to do and keeps me occupied. They are my grandchildren and have been angels brought into our lives to ease the pain.
My son is coming up for a review for classification and just maybe we will hear some good news. We really need him here helping out and he loves these babies and it would be great for them to have this male role model in their lives. Someone other than Grandpa, even though they adore him.
Hey it's nice to hear from you and keep us up to date. I wish all of you guys the best that have a loved one home or coming home.

Lace, I hope you and your son get a break soon. I know it is hard taking care of 2 small children. I am 52, I love my grandchildren dearly, but I cannot imagine caring for them on a daily basis. Fortunately, my son does not have children or a wife that I had to deal with. Prayers are with you and your son.
