Default DaRoyce Mosley TX RIP

RIP DaRoyce.

I hope that all those touched by this can find some healing.

After a five hour delay while the US Supreme Court resolved a late appeal, convicted killer DaRoyce Mosley, 32, of Kilgore was executed Tuesday night in the Texas death chamber in Huntsville, an hour before the death warrant would have expired.

I am truly sorry to hear this--had hoped the Supreme Court would come through. This is wrong, so deeply wrong. It leaves wounds not only in people but in the framework of law which will take a long time to heal.

How cruel to make him and his family and even the victims family sit and wait and hope for five hours in the death house. ARG sometimes I am so ashamed to be a Texan.

Rest in peace my love.

I hope I find healing in the next couple days. I hope his family finds healing as well. I hope everyone who knew him can find healing and comfort.

What happens just proves my theroy that OUR legal system is a bunch of B.S. and they are not right.

What would have happened if he made it one more hour, if his death warrant expired?

Ditto!

I posted this scripture in another location but hopefully it can bring comfort here also.

Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.

Revelation 2:10 NIV

I don't understand how you could say the delay was "cruel". Would it have been better to have the justices not review the appeal, and to speed up the execution to save time? With every delay there is hope. Give it some thought.

I have given it much thought. Still I think it was cruel. To be given hope, to have it yanked at the last moment. To have your family waiting, hoping that this will not happen that they will see you next visit. Yes the whole thing is cruel. The death, the not being able to touch your loved one until their death. The chambers they are held in. The entire process.

I think it is cruel too. Giving hopeis a good thing, but destroying it again and again in this tense moments.... just cruel - for everyone affected.
Rest in peace and peace and strength to those involved.

Now I need to find out if there is funeral with his family. How can I find this out or the state is burying him?

I do not have contact with his family.

I guess we're looking at the same glass and we can't decide if its half full or half empty. I still say, if there are on going appeals, making the prisoner wait is not cruel, afterall, its the prisoner who filed the last minute appeal. In Japan, they don't notify the prisoner until the morning of the execution, so to spare the comdemned the mental anguish of having to count down the days until their life ends. People aregue this is cruel. Is this any more humane? I suppose there is no right or wrong answer, although the best is to not put yourself in a position to wind up on the row.

Big Daddy
I don't have an answer for you, I am have always wondered how one would find out the funeral arangments for an executed person. If you have contact with the family I would guess that would be the first contact as they can tell you if and when the funeral is and even if its open or a closed ceremony

How about getting in touch with his lawyers? You can find them on his website.

Default Funeral Arrangements

I read some where in my quest for more knowledge of this whole horrid process that the local Funeral Home in Huntsville can also give you that info. I will look through some of the different links I've been to and see if I can get that info for you.

Thank you sooo much!! ANything you can get to me, I would appreciate. Any information on his funeral I can find out would be appreciated. Would either like to go or send his family my deepest sympathies.

I am holding up ok.

AS I have told people. I have not been in contact with him in some years, but I have known him for about 16 years. I knew him before he went in. I can honestly in my heart of hearts say that he did not do it and Texas killed an innocent man.

No matter how much sh** he tallked he could never harm anyone (trust me on this). Just really bothers me to know that to this day and age people can make things a race thinig and/or a money thing. Its just so upsetting. Never thought I would ever in my life know anyone on DR. Weird aint it.

Wish he could have got what Kenneth Foster got.

I think five hours of hoping and waiting just to be executed in the end is cruel and unconstitutional.
