Default Crazy tickets!!!

Okay I don't know if this is in every state or just Illinois. I got a letter from Allen and had kidded him about if he had a fifi. Well, of course he replied NO. But then he got to telling me about an inmate who got caught taking care of himself and was issued a ticket for (now get this) DESTRUCTION OF STATE PROPERTY!!! How crazy is that one? Has anyone ever heard of anything like that?

Just had to let you all in on this one. So tell those men to be careful with natural behaviors as they can be determental to state property.

Marly

JD has gotten a ticket for "damage to state property" for attempting suicide once!! How cold-hearted is that?!?

Jdswifey, that is just cold.

I don't understand why they do that. I had never heard of anything such as this. To me that is just another way of putting the guys or gals down. Surely they could come up with better wording than that.

Is this only at Menard that they do this kind of thing or is it everywhere???

Well I guess my man does a good job of keeping his private business private. Says he takes care of himself on a regular basis, but has never been issued a ticket. I've written some special reading material for him for that sole purpose and he has always received it unedited. He's also in Menard, but is in the med. security unit

Marly... JD wasn't at Menard when he received that ticket... it's throughout IDOC.... He's never gotten a ticket for "self-love" though....

Here in Oregon you get tickets for damaging state property if you get a sunburn or some other injury to your body. The reason for that is that it prevents inmates from getting real bad sunburns and having to go to the infirmary for treatment on purpose to avoid work or to ask for pain meds or whatever. There are actually people who will injure themselves with severe sunburns or other things on purpose. These things are to discourage people from doing whatever it is that the prison doesn't want to deal with. Damaging state property for masturbation is a stretch though------what did he do, raise blisters?

Lol, I bet if they'd asked the'state property' he would've thought he was actually improving it, not damaging. I never knew they actually called inmates state property, that is about the most offensive thing as I have ever heard.

grasshopper I agree, to them it is probably self-improvement for them.

toi, if they raised blisters than I feel sorry for them anyway, the ticket would be the least of their concerns.

lady, what sort of damage could you have done, nope never mind don't even wanna know. LOL

I am just amazed by this sort of ticket being issued. Nice to know it isn't just Menard.

I had hear of the ticket of misuse of Illinois State Property before when they have been caught. It is just like the military, if you get a sunburn you have defaced military property. Although I though slavery was over and no one could be property of anyone else or any other entity. SLavery was abolished, even though racism runs rampant killing the minds of our children.

WE had a thread about this before, guys getting tickets for masturbating. I asked my guy about it. He said the inmates know when the rounds are etc and they have to be really obvious about it, to get in trouble with CO's.
