Getting rid of Fleas!!!

My daughter and her 5 cats have moved out of my house and into their own apartment. She left behind fleas!!!

I am fuming mad while being eaten alive by these pesky things. I have used the Raid Flea foggers and even went to the "do-it-yourself" shop for some flea insecticide. I spray and get a few weeks of relief and then all of a sudden they seem to reappear. I am dreading paying to bring a real professional to rid my place of them but I may have to.

Any other suggestions?
