Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

Please be aware that, due to difficulties arising from issues with Yahoo and AOL, we have changed our registration requirements.

Default How do work camps work exactly?
My ex-boyfriend (and father of my child) was recently convicted for V.O.P. and sent back to prison for one year. His V.O.P. was actually for a D.U.I., so he owes quite a bit of money to the state for that, not to mention for his prior charges... AND he owes me child support on top of that now.

Do workcamps allow him to earn money to pay off debts while he's incarcerated?

And if so, can I look forward to receiving child support again soon?

I'm just unclear on how these "workcamps" actually work... so if anyone could possibly fill me in, it would be great!

Work camps do not let them earn any money. Work release programs do. They are eligible when there custody is dropped to community but there is a long waiting list so many will not make it into one before their release date. I would not count on getting any money.
