First, I never thought that at 20 years old I'd be writing about myself on a message board for women whose loved ones have been sentenced to prison.
My name is Anna, my fiance's name is Justin. We've been together for 1 1/2 wonderful years, and on March 26th, 2008, he was sentenced to 30 months in a federal prison. A past felon, he was convicted of Making a false statement during a firearms transaction and release on self surrender. As of yet we still have to hear from the Fed's on where he will be going or what security level he will be.
We don't have any children together yet, which makes the situation a little easier to bear. I'm very fortunate, as his mother moved in with us last November for moral support, and said she will stay here with me until he gets out.
The whole situation has left me very depressive and very manic as to everything I now have to take care of. <-this is how I feel. I'm a full time college student working on a degree in computer programming, but will now also have the responsibility of caring for both of our bills and relations. I'm so thankful I found this site, as I felt I was the only girl my age going through this. The stories and posts here have made me stronger, and more faithful to the idea that we WILL make it through this. Thank you prisontalk.
