Default Intro--PlayfulTigress1 from Illinois

Hi, my fiance' is in Bowie County Correctional Center in Texarkana,Tx
I send him mail once a week in what I term pkgs...I write everyday and then put them in vanilla envelopes and mail them on Monday, however his last couple have been returned as contraban..there is nothing in the letters but how much I miss and love him and a few funny stories, nothing off colored or anything like that. So, I was wondering if anybody can tell me what I can do to see that he gets his mail. Oh I should say that the 1st couple of letter pkgs were not returned he got those just fine. It's frustrating cause I live in another state(Illinois) and I don't have the luxury of going to see him twice a week. Thank-you for anyone that can help.

Welcome to PTO!!! Maybe you are just putting in too many pages with each letter. Every facility has it's rules to follow as "accepetable mail". My son is at LCCF MS. Many times thru the yrs that we have shared precious mail, we have come into obsticles, because we don't know the rules. My suggestion is to call the mailroom at the facility (I hate the word jail), those ladies in the mailroom I have found to be just darling, except for one specific. Always willing to help you understand. Search thru the TX threads, along with the thread for mail questions. You are on a fantastic web-site, the best I have ever come across in the last 8 yrs! Again welcme and check out the form with spouses and boyfriends!! Proud to meet you and to answer any questions that you may have!!!!!! lots of great folks here!!!

Always willing to help you understand. I have found this to be universally true. People actually enjoy helping others understand the goofy rules that they, too, must observe. You'll run into an occasional twit, but this is the exception, IM experience. Besides, you can always ask to speak to a supervisor. Don't be intimidated. They work for us, after all. Update....
Wow did I get some news last night!!...I never have added money to his phone card it was just too expensive, but I was missing him so much and I had to hear his sexy southern twang voice..lol...good thing I let my heart talk me into putting the money on the card...It was so good to talk to him, but he gave me some really great news and I just realized that I never said what he was in for but his ex step dad had him picked up and charge for theft for stealing (he said the ex step dad) what my Prince took was left to him in his mom's will (she passed this past Jan from cancer). No one ever bothered to ck out my fiance's story but bless thier souls, his lawyer and PO have been working to get the charges dropped or reduced..when I talked to him last night his PO was taking it before the Parole Board to release him from his parole or that the time that he has been in be the time which would count towards his parole is the way I understood him to say it, somebody might have to correct me on this...at any rate they are trying to get him released early so that he can pay the bond and get out or be totally done with it...All I can say at any rate and will take whatever they decide as long as he is released and to give God A HUGE THANK-YOU!!
I am praying that he is just done with it all and can come home, so we can be married!

Hello and Welcome to PTO! Glad to hear of your good news! I pray things work out the way it's been related to you and the two of you can put this in your past. God enjoys our hugs! Reminds me to specifically to that more often! Looking for an update tomorrow! Be BLESSED!!
