Default Thank you from Charley

I recieved this letter from Charley today to post, a big THANK YOU to everyone that sent cards and his thoughts about living where he does right now.

First of all I want to thank all of you who made my friend Woody's and my Christmas full of joy with all the cards you sent. I hope that the others you did this for feel as happy as we did this Chrismas because of people like you! Thanks again and if any of you would like a pen pal or two we would love to hear from you all again.

Now for the things that I think are wrong with the prison I am in. I did time 10 years ago in Kansas, it was a minimum security prison, and it was 10 times harder there than here. My only problem here is that they took all the educational courses out of here. The food is lousy, I can't smoke, and there are no women.....LOL. I can see my mother's reaction already and what she is thinking. "You Don't Need Those Women" LOL I love you mom Anyway back to this, we are in the middle of the city and Burger King is right across the street so the smell of real food taunts us. That is the worst!

We do have 2 very nice weight piles, a nice gym, Pepsi machines, a really big yard with paved paths for walking and running, a soft ball diamond, activity center for club meetings, a church and big library, tennis court, volleyball court, and hobby center. They do offer GED courses, and an English course to teachs English as a second language, but that's about it. So there is plenty to do and everyone gets along, there are no, or I should say, haven't been any racial activities, fights, or any other violent activities since I have been here. Everyone pretty much hangs out with everyone. You get day for day good time, so almost everyone jams their number.

Well that's about all I have but I will be sending a couple of others thoughts along to my mom so she can post them. Once again thank you for the great cards.
Charley

Hi Deb, I am so glad Charles enjoyed all the cards. I got a very nice letter from him and he even drew me a picture on the envelope as you know. For those of you who haven't seen it you can go to "What the Xmas cards meant to these six" I posted the envelope their. Love Barbara
