Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

My son just got moved from the county jail yesterday to Coffee Creek. This is all new to us as his family and we have been getting lots of good information on this forum. We desperately want to send him letters but don't know how to get his S.I.D.??? I got on VineLink and found a offender ID number. Is that the same thing? Please, please if anyone knows the answer, let me know. We are desperate to get letters to him. Thank you so much for all the information you all have posted.

Yes, the offender ID number is the SID number.
How I address my letters is this way
Institution name
first name, last name
SID number
street address
city, state, zip

Did you know that you do not have to put the Institutional name on the envelope?! I never do and then I don't have to have "those" looks when I go to the post office. Just a thought if you don't want to add it.

You can call inmate locator ph#1-877-674-8463 you should be able to get sid# from that also.. you do know that he wont be able to hear from him for a few days.. he will be in coffee creek about 30 days and then he will be moved..
