Editor, It seems that to be elected to the Texas Legislature there is advantage in being for the death penalty in capital cases. This also seems to apply to the governor, judges and district attorneys. Jurors accepted for a capital trial are asked if they are open to choose death. Guess your chances! Read "Detour to Death Row," pages 31-33, by the well-informed activist David Atwood.
