Question Parole in Washington State?

Can anyone tell me if there is parole available from prisons in Washington State? I have heard there is not but don't know if that is correct.

wecome to PTO from Seattle. You can go to the WA DOC site and see what help there is for you. Otherwise someone will be along soon to help you.

Washington state DOES have parole boards. It is called the indeterminate sentence review board, and they have a website. My husband is under them.....if you have any further ?? just ask. Ive been researching them for years!

If this is what you are speaking
http://www.srb.wa.gov/

It says it only deals with 2 types of offenders

  1. Felony offenders who committed crimes before July 1, 1984 and went to prison
2. A select group of sex offenders who have committed offenses after August 31, 2001.

Do they not offer parole or whatever it would be called for anyone after the date of 1984 or am I not looking on the correct webbie ?

Thanks

yes that is right. My husband was sentenced in 1984, and he goes in front of the parole board every few years. He will be on parole for 3 years after he is released.
