Default Phone calls in PC?

Most of you know the story, but just in case you don't, here's the breakdown. The last time I had a "normal" conversation with my husband was last Sunday the 14th. He was still in LARC. Monday, he didn't call. Tuesday, I found out he transferred to Granite. Thursday, I got a call on my cell phone. He called me directly and I think his CM must have let him use her phone. We got a brief conversation and he told me that he'd been jumped immediately upon arrival on Tuesday and was in PC.

He hasn't called since, so my question is this...how often are they going to let him make phone calls while he's in PC?

Bonus question: I've heard they don't transport on holiday weeks. Is that true? Will he probably stay at Granite in PC till after the first of the year now?

Are you sure? He's been there since Tue and no letter. I sent him a money order Thur and he will have some money transferring from County. So, no later than next week, surely, I guess.

I'm so sorry yall are having to go through this mommy.

It went down pretty much the same way for my son, but he got jumped early-on at LARC by a group of 3 gang members during shower time. (Cowards! They always team up..but he's a pretty big boy so he did managed to hold all of them off until a CO got there, thank God!)

Anyway, he was moved to LCF and same scenario there a week after his arrival. He had to stay in PC for the whole 3 months he was there. I was told by his CM there that as a matter of policy they aren't allowed to make calls if they're in PC because they just don't have the extra staff to assure his safety to be out of his cell long enough to make one.

BUT, they did let him call me! Maybe OSR is like this too. (Fingers crossed.) They would bring a cordless phone to the cells one day @ week. Call day there was Friday nights. It took me about a week to get the CTI block off of my phone though so his calls came in and it was almost 3 wks before I got talk to him because they had given him the wrong pin number. DUH! I'm pretty sure his CM was glad when he finally did ship out because I called almost everyday and pestered the hell out of her!

(Don't stand between a momma and her kids!! )

Anyway, as for writing, even if his trust money isn't there yet, they are allowed 2 stamped env. and writing material @ week ..so I'm sure you'll her from him soon!

In the meantime, try not to worry as far as his saftey goes..because he will be okay.

I agree... It does suck really big you know what... when we can't hear outta their mouths that they are ok. Give it to God and he will see you through it. I went almost an entire month with no calls and no mail this summer during the lockdown. Hubby just moved to LCF 3 weeks before this all happened and well he had money on his books but did not have a trust account set up for him there... It took me calling every other day to finally get that mess straightened out... 3 and half weeks later. Anyways, I know there isn't really much that any of us can say to ease your nerves... but please rest in knowing that he is at the very least ok. A bit of advice.. what helped my husband when he wasn't able to keep contact with me was receiving mail from me everyday letting him know that I knew he was ok and that I was ok in knowing that. Shoot by the time he did get stamps He had written me a 39 page letter... (longest one to date... of course he had 3 1/2 weeks to complete it and no tv to distract him (finally did get his tv to him... but that's a whole nother thread).)
