Candie, I'm glad Lee's out of seg and I think I would have warned him to stay away from the person who put him there, too.

Tony had a new ID photo done last year, his birthday one, and I'd asked him to smile because it's the only photo I can get of him. The CO really upset him as he has the look that is reserved for the guards only. He's got such a lovely smile and his eyes are so alive but not when he looks at a CO!!! Mind you, he says I have a look reserved for them as well. We must all do it and not know about it.

Good to hear you're a lot happier now and I do envy everyone who can talk to their loved ones on the phone. I'd give anything to be able to talk to Tony once in a while.

Rose

He Doesn't Smile In His Either. But I Have Pictures Of Him Since He Was 12. I Don't Think He Was Smiling In Most Of Them Either Though. But It's Pretty Much Stuck In My Head. I've Seen It Enough I Can Picture It Whenever I Feel The Need. I Complain, But I Do Get A Lot More Time With Him Then Most People Get With Thier Loved Ones Who Are In. Only Because He's So Close To Me. A 20 Minute Ride And I Am There. That's Nice.

Time To Go Get The Boy From School And Here Him Comlain About How Rough He Has It. I'm Telling You It Must Be Really Hard To Be 13. I Wish I Could Turn Back Time. I'd Like To Live 13 Again.

I think I should follow up with a letter and cc the warden.
For the record CET, I think this is an EXCELLENT idea!! Better yet, if you can, send it certified..... The higher ups get a bit nervous when they think someone may be starting a paper trail!!

Rose... will you PM me the dates you are coming so we can coordinate visits!?!? I would love to get the chance to hang out again!! I look forward to you coming!! I know how hard it is to have only letters between visits and know that I am blessed to not have to wait as long between visits as you have to!! I am sure Tony will be on cloud 9 the next few weeks getting to look forward to seeing you again!!

darn, I already mailed it out ,and not certified.
Candie 13 is a terrible age!! I think 19 is also, worst year of my life.
8 weeks? I'm coming back, if he is still in stateville, the week of March 29. I would love to try to meet everyone from the area. They haven't moved him to Menard in the last 6 weeks, so who knows? I'll be going to southern IL also to see C. Sure hope the snowstorms are done with!!

the mail is a good 10 to 12 days lagging at STateville. I called and they said there were people on vacation, and on medical leave.

Sometimes Sebastian gets a letter every day other times he gets six in one day, I get his faster than he gets mine that's for sure, it's enough to drive ya crazy!

Yeah I Get Mine In 2 Days From Him. Yep It's The Same With Lee. Some Days Nothing The Next Day 4-5.
On A Good Note. He Got In With A Man Who Is Clean When He Got Out Of Seg This Time. Which Is Great Seeing He Has Problems With Filth. Hahaha

usually the outgoing mail is just 2 days, but the incoming mail is what is lagged when they are short staffed.
I decided to send him all the rest of the books I had, since I have no idea how long they will take to get there, and he should be out of seg March 9th. He can't call til the 15th. I tell you I sent a flood of used books to seg! I hope he leaves most of them there, getting shared.
I sent him the "five languages of love" and a book with two volumes of Penthouse letters for some Valentine's day gifts! The five languages of love is easy quick reading, interesting.
I promised some photos and a story. Have just been into writing stories lately! I have to let an idea "gel" for awhile.

have to add one more thing. It ticks me off that he always thinks I haven't taken the time to write him when he doesn't get mail. If they can holler back and forth in seg, why don't they see that suddenly everyone isn't getting mail?

CET, you're right. Nick called the other day and was shocked I hadn't received anything from him since the 14th. He sent me a bunch of stuff, and it's just now starting to trickle through.

He seems to be getting my stuff faster than I'm getting his. But in either case, it does start the worrying process when you think they're not writing, or vice versa.

He's not in Stateville, he's in Danville, but the mail from all prisons seems to be the same. Maybe they all took a group vacation together

At Menard it was because they're all hunters (now why doesn't that surprise me!!) and they all wanted time off to go chase all those beautiful animals. If hunting season is still on perhaps that's why all the mail seems to be slow at the moment, or should I say slower than normal.
