Default New Years Resolutions...make em - keep em?

I don't usually make resolutions. I break them too easily and then go through the guilt. BUT I did manage to talk myself into not sweating the small stuff, especially things I have no control over. I have learned throughout this situation that I am a control freak. Never thought I was, but seems like I was wrong.

And patience...I had none. LOL, but have been acquiring it throughout my time with corrections.

So - even though I didn't really make any, I am happy to report that I have managed to not sweat the small stuff. I have given up trying to gain control where I have none and I am patiently giving patience a try.

I don't really make new year resolutions. I just really need 2009 to be better than 2008. At the end of last year I hadn't seen Casey in four months, I hated my house, I fell into depression, had a brief relapse, and very nearly had a complete nervous breakdown.

So far this year I've gotten to visit Casey and am going again in a few weeks, I feel good, I'm completely clean, and... I still hate my house. Oh well, most everything is turned in the right direction. Maybe that should be my resolution: to get out of this crappy house (and I use the word 'crappy' quite literally! )

i dont make them because i never stick to them...

but this year i promised myself, rather than make a new years resolution, to live my life better. i'm paying my bills, paying back my mom all the money i owe her, keeping a stable job, and staying out of trouble. im gonna live my life the best i can until i get sentenced and then when i am done doing my time im going to start over and continue to live a better life.
