Need cumberland county jail info please

Hi everyone,

I'm getting locked up on Friday for 18 months without parole. My case has been ongoing for a year now. I've known about this site, but refused to do research because I figured it would make my stress even worse.

According to my lawyer i'm supposed to be going to state prison because the sentence is over a year, but now I find out I'm going to cumberland county jail first for who knows how long and if I'll even ever leave.

My biggest concern is I have a son who is 3 1/2 years old that I see every other weekend. My biggest fear is that he'll have forgotten about me by the time I return. My ex-girlfriend will not take him to visit me if i'm behind glass. Do you know if they have contact visits in cumberland county? Could anyone give me some information about cumberland county jail? Are the chances good that I will stay there for my whole term? Is it possibly that I will get "good time" if i'm sentenced to 18 months without parole? Do/Can I bring anything with me to jail? What is it like in that jail?
