Default what to expect

I got my marching orders today 9 months to report at big sandy...does anyone know anything about this? I am looking at where I'll be and am self reporting on the 24th. I was convicted of a white collar crime and should be on minimum security but this place looks bad....does anyone know after being checked in if they then take you to the camp? It would ease my fiances mind a little...sucks I was hoping to be around for my daughters 1st birthday 4/5...but it doesn't look like thats going to happen...I am paying my debt for something I did 5 years ago and need some advice about what I'm stepping into....I am a Vet and have had no prior convictions...any info. would be appreciated...thanks in advance

Hello, I was convicted of a white collar crime myself (24 mths, have to report on Memorial day, go figure. I am going to miss 2 B-days, and xmas's,etc

So I already pre-bought and wrapped items for my baby and loved ones. Go ahead, and have an early party for her now, take pics, and have them send to you on her b-day too. Go to the BOP.gov site, you can get all the downloads needed and it will tell all about the prison. In addition, there is a section on this site, that has a wealth of info on different prisons. http://www.bop.gov/locations/institutions/bsy/index.jsp

Hey 9 months in FEDS is a super breeze, or I call it baby time. So relax, consider it time to get your thoughts together. Other helpful links to ease your spouse's mind, removed per pto policy, is great, your kids can get an account for free, and send you kids stuff, for FREE.

Spend all the time with your fam, and prepare for yourself , and them. Do little things , like buy cards for those special days now, and seal them up. I went and bought a bunch of $5.00 target gift cards for my daughter, so when she does something good , chores or at school, etc. I will tell my mom to give one too her, but she already knows now , that I hve them, so when I do tell her to get one, there is a closeness there, that I know I did that for her. So, DONT LET THE TIME DO YOU. You do the time. I have never been to prison, but I have found alot of strength myself, I am single mother. Hope my posts enlightens you.......

Dont sweat it... I had a white collar conviction - I didnt qualify for a camp as I had other detainers - I got bumped up to a low -- went to Lompoc FCI -- PIECE OF CAKE. A camp -- even easier....

BUT dont be dumb - dont gamble (unless you can pay) dont change the TV's, Dont borrow anything!

If you come back to your bunk and there is a Twinkie on your bed -- don't eat it..

You'll be fine.. 9 months is a breeze as the other poster said...
