Help for a friend doing time

Hi everyone:

Maybe you can help me out so I can help my good friend.

When I was starting my bid in Comstock back in 89' I made friends with a good guy that comes from Staten Island, NY. I noticed he did not have many friends and nobody was helping him from the outside. Nor, was he getting any mail from the outside. I kind of put him under my wing. I was 22 and he was like 27. But, I was like a big brother to him. I had him cook my food so he could get a bowl of food in exchange for cooking and cleaning the dishes and pots that we used to cook with on a hot plate. People knew he had my back. So, the predators did not mess with him. I am an ex member of the AB. So, I had an army to back me up.

To make a long story short, my friend Benny has been in and out of state prison his whole life. We later hooked up on the street as free men. The only problem is he felt like he missed out on so much while being in prison. He wanted to do the things I told him I did growing up. Those things had to do with using drugs. I could not stop him. I could only give him advice on how to get help once it got to be too much for him. I have been on methadone for 10 years now and it has helped me lead a decent life. I helped Benny get on Methadone. But, he started smoking crack. This in turn led him to a fresh 18 year sentence. His girlfriend left him for dead and he is all the way up in Auburn. He gets out in 13 years. My wife and I do what we can for him. I write him from time to time and we send him cash once in a while.
What he really needs is a pen pal. That way he has something to look foreword to each day when mail comes.
He has no family or friends except for me and my wife.

When a man is in prison doing time. I think that getting mail has to be the most important thing in the world to him at the moment.
So, can anyone direct me to a few sites where I can place an ad and maybe his picture...in the hopes he can find a decent women to write him and help him do this time. Because, he can't do it alone.
