Default Unaudited?

Could someone tell me what unaudited means for the calculation of time someone got for their sentence and if it means what I think it means, why would someone not be sentenced when they were tried? "Y" is listed beside detainers but I have tried pulling this person up in the NC Court system and nothng shows up, where as it did about a month ago. I thought he had already gone before the judge and sentenced. He was sent to DOC but there is no current info. on him. I hope I made sense. If anyone can help please let me know. Thanks!

It sounds like a technicality...call your clerk of courts office and get the number for combined records and tell them what is going on and see if it is just some paperwork they have not combined.

You have to understand that there is a small staff in Raleigh who deal with processing inmates' sentences. They have loads of inmates sentenced per month. They are processed in every Wednesday and Friday. Unaudited means they have not gotten to his file, or the court has not sent the final resolution to them yet. Eventually, they will process the information and he will get a PROJECTED release date that you will be able to see on the internet site.

I was told that if he had detainers they wouldnt release him. SOOO I called Combined Records and found out what county it was in and they got on the ball. My husband had detainers so it stopped him from getting a job or getting into the Dart program so it was important to get them off. He has to be fingerprinted and the Prison has to do it and the record cant be audited till they recieve the fingerprints. I called on a Monday to see when they would fingerprint my hubby and they were enroute by Friday. You would be surprised what a phone call can do.
My hubby was sentenced in Nov and he just got his detainers off this month. Its a battle good luck!

I'm not looking this information on my husband. It's someone different, so I'm not going to call and try to get any information. I'm just curious to see what was done with this LOW LIFE!!! I hope he never gets out!!!!!!! Thanks for all the info. anyway.

see-oh was right with this one, all unaudited means is that they haven't calculated his time yet for a release date. So, no worries there. If he does still have detainers on there they will have to be taken care of before they let him out OR they will release him to the county jail where the detainers are from. (from what i've seen)

Okay...this person was finally updated on the NCDOC website, however, I still have a question. "Y" is still beside detainers. Does this mean that he still has charges pending? If not, could someone tell exactly what it does mean?

A detainer usually means that the inmate has pending charges. If he doesn't do anything about it by contacting his programmer and getting the information so he can contact the clerk of court to get a writ sent. Once he has gone to court and gotten sentenced, then the detainer will go away.
