If he's illegally here, he will most likely be deported. Ice will catch up to him, my hubby didnt have a hold on him until the day before his release date..... He was taken to MX the next day.

It would be a miracle if he wasn't picked up by ICE and deported. Even if he had residency, drug charges are usually deportable.
ICE has become merciless.
However, you could always talk to an attorney just to make sure that there isn't something different or unique about your honey's case that gives him a fighting chance.
Best wishes to you both!

ok so my bf called me today and told me he's in a processing center in houston...how long will he be there before he gets deported...i think he might want to see a judge, but will that take long? will it make a difference on him staying here even though he's here illegally?

any help would be appreciated...thanks

If he signs a waiver to waive appearance before a judge, he would be out quickly. I'm not sure about the time in Texas, but in Washington (where Oregon detainees appear before a judge), they can end up stuck waiting for 1-3 months. If they fight deportation, that can drag it out forever (1-2 years in some cases I'm aware of).

I'm thinking that there are many of us who would love to know about those loopholes.
My SIL has been here since he was 4 years old and is up on drug charges. I have yet to find an attorney who knows of any loopholes to help us keep him from getting deported.
We're all in this shitty process together.............it would be great to help each other as much as possible.
