Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

Please be aware that, due to difficulties arising from issues with Yahoo and AOL, we have changed our registration requirements.

Derivative Citizenship???

Hello all, I need a bit of direction. A friend is facing possible deportation as his mother was never naturalized prior to her death and his father is unknown. He is currently serving time with my fiance in the New York Correctional System. He was raised by his grandparents/guardians who are/were citizens. Is this enough to allow him a form of derivative citizenship to circumvent the deportation process? Any assistance or direction would be greatly appreciated.
