Default Where Can I Find Information

ALL OF YOU HAVE BEEN SO HELPFUL AND I WANTED TO SAY THANK YOU RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING. NOW THAT I AM COMPLETELY BURRIED IN PAPER AND MY NOTES MAKE NO SENSE TO ME BECAUSE I WAS WORKING WITH COMPLETE EMOTION DRIVING ME. I NEED TO FIND THE INFORMATION ON PARDONS, EARLY RELEASE, SENTENCE MODIFICATION, VISITATION PROBLEMS, SO I CAN TRY AND TAKE THE BULL BY THE HORNS AND GET SOMETHING DONE. I'VE WRITTEN TO EVERYONE AND HAVE NOT RECIEVED SO MUCH AS A CONFERMATION THAT THEY EVEN RECIEVED ANY THING FROM ME. IF YOU CAN POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION I WOULD BE FOREVER GRATEFUL. THANKS AGAIN. LISAissed:

Hmm... it sounds like you have done alot of writing to everyone.. perhaps you might want to send things certified mail so you do know that they received them - I would recommend making copies of everything you send and buying some files or binders to keep things organized and in order. Have you tried writing any of the political figures in your area - like congressman, representatives in your area.. I'm not quite sure of the specifics of your your case but I'm just throwing out ideas here.. you can always flood the superintendents desk with letters and make sure you send copies to everyone possibly involved. As for your visitation problems if I remember correctly you are deneid beacuse you have a felony too.. (I think I remember that correctly) - that seems to be a blanket policy in reference to visitation not being allowed but you can always call the prison and ask them if any way there can be exceptions made, if you get a letter from perhaps your former CCO (if you had one). Just try to keep those organized so you know who you contacted when and where....

Good luck...

Whoa! What are you trying to do? Is he out? I don't think you can get a pardon until he's out. You can get that information on the Governor's website regarding pardons, they have all the paperwork there and everything - but it has to include the parole boards info and evaluation too if I recall.
If he's inside - what do you want to do? Get him transferred? Reem his counselor? Medical stuff?
If you get onto the DOC's website - http://www.wa.gov/doc/ they have a "public request" link You can submit a "request for public information" - this is where you can get "earily release" info if you ask for it - but you need to be "specific" as to what you want. They will also charge you something like .25 or .50 per copy of what ever it is that they give you.
The website also has a "friends and family" handbook that you can download - it's a pdf and pretty large, if you can't get it off of there get onto the CURE website at www.curewashington.homestead.com site and email us and request a handbook, we have tons.
The DOC "Correspondence Unit" is the department where you'll probably find the most help - they are usually pretty nice, their number in Olympia is 360-664-4638
Address:
Department of Corrections
Correspondence Unit
PO Box 41118
Olympia, WA 98504-1118
FAX: 360-586-4469
email: docorrespondence@doc1.wa.gov

They should be able to either help you, suggest something or direct you to who can.
If this doesn't get you what you need, let me know exactly what you need and I'll try and get you some help/answers.
Good luck,
Aria
