Here you will find information on proposed new laws in the legislature which affect offenders, as well as their families. You are encouraged to write your legislators with your comments.

Up to date status on Legislative Bills can be found at Washington Votes (not a government web site) this site is used by public officials as well due to its ease of use and accuracy:

It is set to show all active "Offender" legislation. To look up a particular bill insert the bill number where 'offender' is the search key.
Additional information can be found by using "sentencing" and like key words as "offender" is not used in every bill of interest.

The current legislative session has started January 10th. Bills from the last session which were held up in committees will continue into this session.
