Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

I have a few questions. Not necessarily regarding the NE prison system, at least not yet, but the laws.

I'm on this site as my husband is incarcerated in Iowa......... then last week I get a phone call from my mom telling me she may be going in NE. She has some pretty serious charges and I'm trying to figure out what she might be looking at. Also, it may go federal so if anyone has info on that, that would be greatly appreciated to.

My mom has been talking to a detective who is getting ready to issue a warrant on two charges. Two controlled buys equaling 43 grams. Of what? I'm not entirely sure but If I had to guess I'd say cocaine. They have told her if they bring a third charge it will go federal.

Does anyone have any info regarding the laws or experiences of what their loved one got regarding similar charges?
