Love's Quest

you have been a relic in my thoughts,
standing strong like a stone statue,
epitomizing the beauty of a mortal angel,
unmoved by man's pressure
nor nature's storms.

The hands of my imagination
has caressed my visions of you constantly,
as though you were a lover in my bed.

A queen has glanced at the throne beside me
but has felt its comforts empty
and the crown neglected.

I seek through the city streets,
Desert roads and forest trails,
and my journey is wishful,
yet ungranted.

I stand on the mountain tops,
For your home must be in the heavens,
Your beauty and uniqueness cannot be
of the Earth.

I want to be closer to you...
