Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

My boyfriend is in the process of completeing the 6 month treatment program. They say that he will be released in september, which is in a only a few more weeks away, and I'am soooo stoked. He was locked up in farmington close to 4 yrs((on an 8 yr sentance)). What is the likely hood that he will actually be released on his out date? I dont want to get my hopes up for september, and then he actually wont be able to come home sooner. I would GREATLY appreciate ANY feedback((even if it's not what I want to hear)) Thanks

First of all- Congratulations! September is SO close! I've been asking my brother the same thing- is the date they give him the actual date he'll be released. He says yes, barring he gets into some kind of trouble. Hopefully more people will be able to assure us the same thing- but that's what I've been told.

I can only say that when I completed treatment there, I was home within days, regardless of what my original release date was. Everyone I saw who completed successfully were also released right away. If you have trouble following the program rules or get kicked out of the treatment program, then naturally it would delay your release date. They are not doing treatment to keep guys there. The treatment program is an opportunity for you to get home sooner than your given out date and stay home longer..

I just want to thank you all for taking the time to reply to this post. Good new's he finally know's the for sure date he's coming home the 21st!! He got a letter in the mail saying that he will for sure be coming home that day! I'am absolutely stoked!!

Btw congrats jeffeyner I'm happy for you that your brother will be coming home.

That's AWESOME! You'll have to keep us posted- let us know how the whole 'getting out' process goes! I hear if they want to leave at 1am they will give them a bus ticket. Otherwise we can pick them up around 8am?

Good news he called me tonight, and this is superbly a blessing from heaven. He's getting out a few day's earlier. He's getting out next thursday. The 17th...4 days early!!!
