Default 2010 is our year!!! Woohoo!!!

So I was feelin a lil blue this morning cause my baby didn't call when he usually does... I thought he was just being cautious about the phone bill cause he's been really getting on me lately about cutting back & saving money. NOPE, that wasn't the case!!!

My phone rang this afternoon & it was him!!! Apparently he didn't call me this morning because he missed rec. The reason he missed rec was because he had a surprise parole hearing this morning. Which is CRAZY because as some of you know he wasn't supposed to be able to see parole for another couple months until after his class A ticket cleared from "the incident". He's still in restrictive housing at Cheshire & everything...

Well everybody...somehow, someway my baby made parole!!! August 23rd is his date. YIPPEE!!! OMG...I'm in shock over this... I feel like somebody is going to wake me up any minute. Good lord, I hope not. I've been saying 2010 is going to be our year...guess I was right.

I am sooooooooooooo ecstatic right now, I don't even know how to act.

Thank you guys!!! Of course I am ecstatic...I am beyond elated!!!

Yesterday after I posted on here, I immediatedly called my sister in law to tell her then I proceeded to call everybody in my contact list. LOL!!! I'm such a nut...I was just so jacked up from the news!!!

It's a day later & I'm still all amped up. Unfortunately the worry has started to kick in a lil. I'm pretty confident he has grown up quite a bit so I'm not stressing too much... However, I am a realist & u never do know... I'm not going to dwell on it too much though... Whatever will be, will be and I know that. Can't change it so I just gotta hope for the best & be prepared for the worst...

Fiery I am over the moon for you!! You have 10 months to get all your ducks in a row and plan his homecoming and I know its just going to fly by for you. From now until then, every event that comes up will be the last one without him. That alone is exciting. Keep replaying that call in your mind and enjoying every word of it.

On another note, you better not forget about us!

He'll probably get let out to a halfway house as soon as his level drops & he gets moved next month. He is techically eligible for a halfway house next month anyway...

They are also moving alot of inmates to halfway houses to finish up there time there until their parole dates even though they are technically not eligible (You are supposed to be eligible 18 months before your release date). Guess those budget deficits are finally doing something positive for our incarcerated loved ones...

My boyfriend's best friend/partner in crime is serving eight yrs & is currently at the 1/2 way mark...he's done 4 yrs. He made parole for June 2010. He got moved to a halfway house last Thursday to finish his time until June. I had to drop off clothes to him on Monday cause my boyfriend asked me to look out for him. That kid was so happy to be out early!!!

This is good news ladies!!! Many of our men will be out (maybe not technically home but still out) way before we anticipated!!!

Techincally you are supposed to get out on that day but if you're going home you have to wait until they come inspect the house. Sometimes they do take their time doing it & the inmate gets out a lil later...

However, they are releasing inmates to halfway houses before their scheduled parole dates...

The rumor flying around Webster is that they are given a choice either to go home (as long as it's not subsidized housing) or to a 1/2 way house. But I dunno, there's so many rumor flying around that place

LOL. There are quite a few rumors flyin around right now...

I am one of those who will believe it when I see it. And one thing I do know for sure is that my honey's best friend is now the 2nd person (that I personally know) who went to a halfway house more than 6 months before their parole date.

You are absolutely right, but that was the furthest thing from my mind when I had to pay that bill.
