Default Montana to Build a Multi purpose Execution Site

HELENA — The execution chamber at Montana State Prison — a decades-old, single-wide trailer house retrofitted to accommodate lethal injections — will be taken apart and hauled away this month.
The move will leave the state with no immediate way to execute the two men awaiting the death penalty.
That information came out at a hearing last week in an ongoing lawsuit challenging the legality of Montana’s lethal-injection method of execution. The lawsuit was filed by Ronald A. Smith, a Canadian citizen sentenced to death in 1983 for the kidnap and murder of two young Browning men the year before.
