i just found out yesterday that he was transfer from tccf to calipatria and that he has a imigration hold. he almost was due for release from serving a 16 months with half sentence. im not sure if he has a visa or green car but he was not illigal here. and he also never been deported or picked up by ins befoure. what is most like to hapend to him will he most likely get deported?

Hi! That I know off he might get deported and allowed them back in 5-10 years. If he dosen't want to get deported, he has a choice not to sign the paper work and get an immigration lawyer. After that, they just keep them until a judge rules whether he stays or gets deported. Even if they have a visa or green card they get deported but you know every case is different. My husbands counselor told me that sometimes depends on their record. If it is the first time they've gone to prison then they don't deport them. Who knows?. Good luck to you.
