Default Financial Resources Upon Release?

Does anyone know if the state of Washington has any kind of financial resources upon release? My boyfriend heard inside that he was eligble for a $2000 grant upon his release. This has to be to good to be true! A stroke in a positive way...NOT! Any info on this would be appreciated...thanks!

Wow I dont know anything about that but please keep us posted if this is true. When Jeffrey got out last time, they gave him 40.00 and a bus ticket to Seattle and said Good luck! He had a very difficult time. He begged for some kind of help but had nothing but doors slammed in his face. Even though I know this time wont be like that for him because he has me Iwould still welcome any and all help. As would a lot of others I am sure. LOL!!!

Hmmm.. my boyfriend who is the resource king - knows the ins and outs of getting money from the governement for grants and such never mentioned this but it doesn't mean that it isn't there.. I will ask him if he knows anything about it. I have heard that there are some types of funds that if an inmate watns to start a business there is something there for that but I know NOTHING about it other than that there is sommlething there for that reason I have heard. Also there are alot of funds available for people wanting to set up recovery houses - again - don't know the details but it is out there..... I will try to get more specific info...
