Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

Please be aware that, due to difficulties arising from issues with Yahoo and AOL, we have changed our registration requirements.

Users with email addresses from yahoo.com, yahoo.co.uk and aol.com will no longer be able to use them to create a new account.
We have had a long-standing problems with these mail services and have found that it is almost impossible to send out account activations to new users who have Yahoo or AOL providers.

Please use an alternative email address; hotmail, gmail etc.

Just thought I'd brag on my hubs for a minute He starts his GED classes in the AM. I"m so happy for him and that he is actually doing something to better himself.

Hoping that when he graduates they let family come, i've read some places make a big deal of it.

But I'm proud of him for doing this

Well you should be! That's great! Idk were ur at but here in louisiana its knocks some months off their sentence when they get their GED while locked up so goodluck!

All of that helps, as the poster from LA said, he could get more good time or also have some good merits if he gets to go in front of the parole board. That's good stuff.

earning your GED is a big deal - it says you have the knowledge and the perseverance to finish something you start.

Thanks guys..
Unfortunly it won't take any time off his sentence and he isn't eligble for parole in VA. But it is something that not only will make his days faster, he will able to take college level classes and maybe attend college when he gets out. And I"m sure it will make him feel better about him self.

congrats to him for doing something to better himself!!! tell him were all proud of him... whoop whoop!!!
i hope they celebrate it where hes at.. in calipat last year the warden threw a graduation celebration for em.. they got to wear the gowns & hats etc.. i thought that was a wonderful thing for em.. i wish all prisons would do that!
