Default Questions regarding special conditions of parole..

I just received my honey's Notice of Parole Board Action in today's mail and have a couple questions...

First, I'm assuming as his release date nears he'll be given a list of stipulations; would this be accurate??

Next.. in the special condition section there are a couple items I'm not familiar with.
1. Mental Health Assessment/AM, DV, TX... I've figured AM is anger management and DV is domestic violence but what on earth is TX??

2. Is it pretty standard to put all parolees through drug/alcohol programs even if the conviction had nothing to do with drugs or alcohol??

3. Last... other was marked and CPSOP is written in. I did a search on the DOC website regarding CPSOP and came up with the following:

Community Parole Sex Offender Program (CPSOP)
This specialized unit is designed to supervise sex offenders who reside within the Denver Metro area. This includes the following: * Community notifications and coordination with local law enforcement regarding Sexually Violent Predators (SVP) * Electronic monitoring to include Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) * Specialized training for community parole officers who supervise this population * Sex offender legislation * Partnership with law enforcement agencies along with treatment providers Lifetime Sex Offender Supervision This program was established within the Division as a result of legislation enacted in 1998 to establish criteria for and provide lifetime supervision of certain offenders convicted of sex offenses and sentenced to prison and subsequent lifetime parole supervision.

What happens if he resides outside of the Denver Metro area?? (our plans are to Interstate compact to PA) What exactly is CPSOP?? This clearly states it's for offenders CONVICTED of sex offenses... in our case there is NO conviction!!

UGH... I'm starting to think the prison years of our relationship were the easiest and perhaps he should just sit his three years mandatory parole out in prison and let the tax payers support him!!

Joy...email Buffy at Cure. She can help you and R with that. It's not the first time the conditions have been made when there's no factual evidence of sex assault. Leslie Waggener kept doing that to parolees and she was eventually fired by Ritter. Buffy should still have her email on the Cure google group.

Sorry I don't know what TX is and yes drug and alcohol testing twice a month every month is standard punishment even for non alcohol and drug related convictions. More money for them you know.

The stipulations will be the same as the parole conditions and he will have to sign them in agreement. I don't know what would happen if he refused to sign because of the SO stuff.

TX usually stands for "treatment"
