Need help bad/15 yr old son convicted of sex offense

I am a mother of a 15 year old son who is in the salam W.va home for youth he was 14 when he was charged for sexual assult on a child under a year old.Thay had no evedence to charge him with but the court system trialed him as a adult how can thay do that when is only 14 at the time he does have a lawyer. we keep in contact with letter iam not aloud to go see him i have asked and asked but ssstill no answer on why i can not see him. He is even in a program for sex offerners and has to resture as a sex offerner when he turns 18 so if any one can help me it would be a big hep thannk
