My doc told me to do the slimfast thing also to jump start me. I drink 2 a day and then eat regular dinner, but no snacks. I've only been doing it for a few days now so I don't know if I'm losing weight yet or not, but I like it so far. It really does taste good.

Water, drink lots of it, 8-10 glasses a day, and walk 30-60 minutes a day. That on top of adding lots of veggies and a few pieces of fruit to you diet every day...and the weight will start to come off. Thats what Im trying...we'll see if it works!

I went from never drinking water to it being the only thing I drink now. I exercise for about an hour everyday. And I eat pretty healthy now except for the occasional slip up. So hopefully i'll lose this weight. And fast.

I did something called the Cambridge diet here in UK...cost a fortune... maybe lost 20lb. But the thing that worked for me was will power and calorie/fat control. I fell off the wagon a few times the first few weeks... but once I got into a routine I was well away.... I ended up enjoying it and losing more weight than the costly diets.

I always try to eat food that has less than 5% fat per portion
I cut right down on carbs..ie not as much bread or pasta
I never used butter or margarine on bread - a low fat cheese spread was better
Tried to eat mainly protein (fish or chicken) with lots of Veg
I made vegetable soups/stew really filling and very little fat
Always had a small bowl of porridge for breakfast
Tried to drink tea without milk
Drank lots of water and never drank juice or beers
Eat fruit but veg is better in my opinion.... some fruit turns to sugar and sugar turns to fat..
Portion control too and knowing when to stop eating.

I walked alot had my Ipod for company did not need expensive classes..

I started a diet Monday...I have fallen off wagon twice already....had some pie yesterday and some fries tonight..

But i do not beat myself about it... I know I will try harder tomorrow...

Good Luck...

Andrea

ive lost 28lbs .. everything has turned into numbers to me. i count every calorie. try little things too .. like when you go to walmart, park far away .. thats more tha u were doing before ya know? ... listen to music and just dance lol ... anything .. but definitely count calories. there are 3500 calories in 1 pound ... its so sick lol ... i usually go on the eliptical machine for about an hour .. thats 600 calories burned ... 5 more hours and i could lose 1 pound! thats ridiculous. lol ... just keep urself positive that this is your life and you want it! .. i lose motivation all the time. i have the lowest self esteem EVER .. truth is i need to take control of my life.

Default Hey there

My biggest advice is to eat more protein (fish or animal meats) than carbohydrates. I notice that many people eat a lot of carbs when trying to lose weight.

Protein is an energy food (you'll feel more energized.) The atkins diet (no, I don't advocate it) is successful because it's all protein based. I'm not for that extreme diet.

Eating more protein than carbs will get you good results.

I dnt think you need to lose 90lbs dats alot of weight. 124lbs?? Dats to little for your height unless you have a small bone structure maybe 145lbs or 150 would b good for you. Im 5'4 and if i wieghed dat lil my bones will show. I have a large bone structure ill look sick at dat tiny lil weight. When ppl start dieting they think they need to b like 110lbs. I looked my best a 145lbs with a small tiny waste line and big hips. I was a size 6-7 when i was 130 ppl thought i was to damn little with no ass wat so ever. Women need meat not looking like little teen girls Ok. i work out alot before you try to get down to dat lil weight go see your doctor they no the right weight for you. Thats dangerous you can really lose you period like dat trying to go down that low. Everyones body is made different.
