Brunswick Womens Correction Facility - Reception

Does anyone know anything about the intake process at Brunswick County Womens Correctional facility. I am told that it takes betgween 30 and 45 days and that no visits are allowed. I have tried for the last 5 days to get a phone account set up with GTel* with no luck. This is like a big black hole.... now I know what people mean by saying you are stuck in the system. I would appreciate any information on the intake, classification, phone and transfer process once someone is moved from the local jail to the DOC.

Try this thread for answers. I am surprised they would take her straight to Brunswick as that is not a receiving center, but it is still the same principle.

My Partner is in Brunswick Women's Reception and I used to be an inmate there it is not setup to handle that. And there is so much to set up. My partner calls me every day and I try to reach out to provide information. I feel so sorry for those girls now they can have visits after being there 60 days but they are basically in that room all day. At least when Fluvanna did receiving you could walk to chow and the library everyday once you were medically cleared. We even started a web site to help answer those quesitons.
